No 2, Waterside, Braco has been fully renovated to a very high standard, for the purposes of letting out as a 1 bedroom holiday cottage. It is situated within a character stone built terrace in a peaceful waterside location adjacent to the River Knaik in the village of Braco in Southwest Perthshire. There is off street parking to the front and a garden with a patio area to the rear. There is also approx 1 acre of riverside ground to the front of the property that can be accessed by guests.

Short breaks are also available from a minimum of a 2 night stay.

The village

The village of Braco is home to the Ardoch Roman Fort, constructed around 80 AD, and is situated on the Northern edge of the village. It is renowned for being is one of the best-preserved examples of its kind in the UK. The Scottish based Roman History Re-enactment Group, The Antonine Guard pay visits to the Fort at various times of the year.

The village is also famous for being the birthplace of William MacGregor who founded the English Football League.

There are many good walks in and around the village, and the gardens at the nearby Braco Castle are open to the public from 1st Feb - 31st Oct each year. The village also has its own licensed general store which sells newspapers, milk and rolls and is open 7 days a week. The Allanbank Hotel is located in the nearby village of Greenloaning it has a cosy log fire and serves bar meals and is only a 20-minute walk from Braco.

Location

Braco is an ideal base for a holiday break, due to its central location in Scotland with easy access to all of the main towns and cities in Central Scotland via the main A9 trunk road and there is also good access via local bus service, rail travel close proximity to both Glasgow and Edinburgh Airports.

The towns of Crieff, Auchterarder and Dunblane are also a 15-minute journey by road from Braco. The Angus and Fife Coasts are only an hour away and Fort William and Oban can be reached in around 2 hours by road. The Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park is also easily reached within half an hour.

Gleneagles Hotel and Golf Courses are only 5 miles away, with St Andrews and Carnoustie Golf Courses just over an hour away by car.
